Carnicycle is officially a non-profit! Carnicycle started back in 2018 as a for-profit. Over the years, we've experimented with our business model, and through trial and error, we found that a for-profit model did not accelerate our goals. After much consideration, we have decided to convert our business structure to a non-profit organization.
What does this mean for you?
- Tax write-offs when you donate your costumes to our organization
- More costume giveaways to Dance, Theatre, and Artistry group
What are the benefits to us?
- Monetary donations are now officially accepted - We are now applicable for more grant funding due to our organizational status, which means we can pursue more innovation projects
- We can strengthen partnerships What will stay the same? Mostly, everything. The only new additions so far will be that you can donate money and request a tax write-off receipt. Other than that, you are still welcome to shop in our Eco Shop for all your sustainable goodies.
