BARBADOS 2019 COLLECTION

Updated: Aug 3, 2019

Catch us at Crop Over this year!

We've been asked by so many of our followers to host a collection at Barbados carnival this year. Budget wise-- we didn't think it was 100% possible. But that didn't stop us from trying!

Fast forward today. We're excited to announce that we have teamed up with Bajan-based environmental group, Sustainable Caribbean (SC), to collect costumes. Sustainable Caribbean will be donating the bras to a local women's shelter BPW Barbados Save Haven for Women. Additionally, SC will host a donation bin at their Eco-shop: The Crate. We will be cleaning costumes at UWI Cavehill thanks to our special partnership with UWI Cavehill Trinidad and Tobago Student Association (TTSA). UWI Cavehill TTSA also has a few of green initiatives of their own which we will be covering in the future.

Lastly, our very own teammate, Tara Cassidy, will be heading that way to help spread awareness about our cause. (Go Tara!!)

Here's how to Carnicycle in Barbados:

1. Avoid single use plastic cups on the road

2. Throw trash in designated bins on the trucks or nearby

3.. Recycle your costume at one of our drop of locations between August 5th-August 10th, 2019.

4. Have fun!
